Privacy Policy

What we collect

Only what you send us through the quote form. Your email address is the one required field. Everything else is optional and submits blank if you leave it: your name, your phone number, a comment, and the event details behind the "Add event details" toggle — your event date, the items and quantities you want, the type of event, the rental period and the delivery address.

We collect nothing else. There are no accounts to create, no tracking scripts building a profile of you in the background, and no information gathered about you from anywhere other than the form you filled in.

We do not ask for payment card details through this website, and no part of this site takes an online payment.

Why we collect it

To prepare, quote and deliver a rental order, and to contact you about it. In practice that means: pricing the equipment and quantities you asked for, asking you anything we need in order to quote accurately, scheduling delivery, setup and collection, and reaching you if something about the booking changes.

Each field earns its place in that purpose. The event date and the rental period tell us whether the stock is free; the quantities and item types tell us what to price; the delivery address tells us what the trip costs and how to reach the site; your email and phone number are how we send the quote and reach you on the day.

We do not use your details for anything else. We do not sell them, we do not rent them out, and requesting a quote does not put you on a marketing list.

Consent

Sending the form is your consent for us to use the details in it for the purpose above. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing info@stanchionswinnipeg.ca. If you withdraw it while we are quoting or supplying an order, we may not be able to continue with the order — and we may still need to keep records of a rental that has already happened, as described below.

Who else handles it

We use third-party service providers to host this website and to deliver enquiry notifications to our inbox. They process your information only for that purpose, and some of that processing may take place outside Canada.

Beyond that, your details are not shared. We disclose them only where it is genuinely needed to fulfil your order — for example giving a venue or building the delivery details it requires to let our crew in — or where the law requires us to. Nobody receives your information for their own marketing, analytics or resale.

Cookies and analytics

None are installed today. This site is static: it sets no advertising or tracking cookies of its own, runs no analytics package, and carries no advertising pixels or third-party chat widget.

If we add any of those later — a web analytics tool, an advertising pixel, a chat widget — we will update this policy to name it before it goes live, and the revision date at the top of the page will change with it.

How long we keep it

For up to 10 years, and only as long as we actually need it.

The principle we work to is that information is kept only while it serves the purpose it was collected for. An enquiry that never becomes an order needs a much shorter life than the records behind a completed rental, which we may need for tax, accounting and dispute purposes for several years. Rather than promise a single flat figure for everything, we set an outside limit: nothing is held beyond 10 years, and anything we no longer need is deleted sooner than that.

Your rights: access, correction and deletion

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct anything that is wrong, or to delete it.

To make any of those requests, email info@stanchionswinnipeg.ca and say which one you want. We will confirm we have received it and respond within 30 days. There is no charge. We may need to ask a question to confirm you are the person the information is about — we will not hand somebody's enquiry details to whoever asks for them.

If we cannot do what you have asked, we will tell you why. The usual reason is a legal one: records tied to a completed rental may have to be kept for a period even after a deletion request, and in that case we will delete what we can and explain what stays and for how long.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and form submissions are transmitted encrypted. Access to enquiry emails is limited to the people who need them to quote and deliver your order. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This site is intended for people arranging event or venue equipment on behalf of themselves or an organisation. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or the business changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
