What we rent
There are five collections and hardly any event uses only one. However you mix them, it is a single quote and a single delivery.

Belt stanchions
Weighted post, 8 ft retractable belt, black or chrome. This is the one that does the work: check-in, registration, and lanes that keep changing shape.

Rope stanchions
Velvet rope, 5 ft of it, on gold, black or chrome. The post you take when the doorway is going to be photographed.

Carpet runners
Cut to whatever distance people actually walk. Two widths, five colours, indoors or outside.

Barriers
Galvanized steel that locks together, for site edges, stage fronts and shut streets. What you need once a crowd starts pushing.

Accessories
Spare rope with no post attached, sign frames that clip onto a belt post, and stands that need nothing.

Why Stanchions Winnipeg
Three things that decide most orders
What we will build for you, who we are set up to work with, and how far we will carry it. Everything else is detail.
Off-catalogue requests welcome
No two rooms behave the same way, so nothing here is sold as a fixed package. Describe the space and what has to happen inside it, and the order gets put together for that — an unusual combination, an awkward quantity, a layout worked around something that will not move. And if the thing you have in mind is not in the catalogue at all, send the description anyway; we will tell you honestly what can be done with it.
Corporate clients and marketing agencies are what we know
The bulk of our work comes from companies and agencies, and the process is built around what those clients have to produce internally: a quote itemised well enough to survive a budget review, one person who answers the phone, and enough give in the equipment list that it can still move while the plan is being signed off.
We take orders in every province
Winnipeg and southern Manitoba account for most of it, but the delivery area is not a circle drawn on a map — this province runs a very long way north, and we go there. If your event is somewhere else entirely, send the address with the rest of the detail and we will work the logistics out rather than refuse it on geography.
The equipment at work
These are the posts, ropes, runners and barrier sections that would turn up on your order, photographed doing the job they are rented for.

How it works
Enquiry through to collection in four steps. What goes into building a quote is set out on the quotes page.
Send a request
Dates, the items and quantities, and the destination. The only thing we genuinely require is an email address; the rest can arrive later.
We quote back
One quote, broken out line by line, with the delivery priced against your address and the size of what you have ordered.
Your order is reserved
Nothing is held until the order is settled in full. That payment is what takes the equipment off the board for everybody else.
We deliver and pick up
Delivery lands inside the access hours you gave us, and the van returns once you are finished. Crew setup and strike can be added to any order or left off it.
Who we work with
Every shape of event Winnipeg puts on. The equipment never changes; what changes is the quantity of it, and where it goes.
Brand activations & product launches
A door that holds its shape, a route walking guests past whatever is being launched, and photographs with nothing in the way.
Festivals, concerts & live shows
Steel around the edge, aluminium at the stage, and belt posts inside the fence handling gates, bars and accreditation.
Corporate events & conferences
A registration queue that clears before the keynote, and lanes signed well enough that delegates sort themselves out on the way in.
Galas & award nights
Carpet from the doorway, posts either side of it, and an arrival that still looks right at the moment doors open.
Film & TV shoots
Press lines, holding areas and public routes held clear of a working set, using posts that stay quiet on camera.
Weddings & private functions
The walk in, the aisle itself, and a rope colour chosen to agree with the room instead of arguing with it.
Questions we get asked
Is there a size you cannot handle?
Put the numbers on the enquiry and availability is confirmed in writing before you are committed to anything. Everything — stanchions, barriers, runners — is held here in Winnipeg rather than brought in for the job, and an order running into the hundreds is an ordinary week rather than a special case.
Do you take orders from individuals?
Yes. Production companies and agencies make up most of the volume, but a single evening arranged by one person uses the identical equipment, the identical quote and the identical delivery. Nobody needs a company name to get in touch.
Can equipment be held while a date is still moving?
We will happily tell you what is free and price it, but the stock stays available to everybody until the order is paid in full — that payment is what assigns it to your dates. Which is precisely why booking early pays off around the weeks that actually run out: award season, weddings through spring and summer, and the December corporate evenings.
What happens if the counts change after booking?
Let us know as soon as you do and the quote is rewritten. Counts moving between enquiry and event day is completely normal — guest lists grow, rooms get swapped, plans turn over — and adjusting an order beforehand is far easier than solving the same problem standing in the venue.
What colours does each product come in?
Three finishes for rope stanchion posts — gold, black, polished chrome — and the rope end caps are decided by whichever you pick. Belt stanchion posts come in two, black and polished chrome. Carpet runners run to five colours.
